The basics should be easier.

I’m Michael Haas, and I’m running for Pennsylvania State Representative in District 2 because too many people are getting stuck in the simplest parts of life: getting benefits you’ve already earned, finding the right office, getting a call back, figuring out what’s next.

I’ve run into those barriers myself—and I’ve watched neighbors hit the same wall. When the system is confusing, it raises costs, increases stress, and quietly tells working people and seniors: “Good luck.”

That’s not acceptable. Government should be a tool you can use, not a maze you have to survive. Representatives should do more than guide you through that maze.

What I’ll bring to Harrisburg

I’m a systems-and-service person by nature. In plain English: I like fixing messy processes so real people can get real help faster.

Across jobs in service work, nonprofits, and roles spanning tech, advancement, marketing, sales, and strategy—my work has always lived in the same place: where policy meets people. I’ve seen what happens when good intentions turn into paperwork purgatory. And I’ve seen what happens when someone treats constituent service like a serious job: problems get solved.

As your Representative, I’ll focus on practical results:
